    Landscape

For this category, we want to see your beautiful landscapes. Show us seascapes of sparkling waters beneath a vast blue sky, majestic mountain ranges dotted with pine trees, pristine meadows blooming with spring flowers, frozen creeks atop snow-covered hills, and dark, mysterious forests at dusk. We also love to see cityscapes, urban skylines, and gorgeous architecture. The idea is to admire all different settings we encounter in the world. Landscapes allow us to be transported to another world, and be fully immersed in its beauty. They broaden our perspectives, challenge our preconceptions, and inspire awe in all of us. Submit your best photos that demonstrate the diverse wonders this magnificent planet has to offer us!

    Wildlife

The wildlife category is your chance to show us your best shots of animals in their natural habitats. Perhaps you went on a safari and got some photos of a pride of lions on the prowl. Or maybe you took a visit to the zoo and captured a polar bear plunging into the cool blue water. Even simpler: you stepped into your backyard and snapped a shot of a cardinal perched upon its branch. We accept all of these and more! We want to see the diversity of Earth's wildlife and their different home environments, whether you traveled a thousand miles to encounter it, or ten yards. Show us what you got!

    Abstract

This category is the most broad of the three. This is where your inner artist can truly come out and have fun with some experimentation. We want to see photos that confuse us, make us wonder, and activate our imaginations. The subject could be anything you can think of. Even the most mundane of objects can be transformed into a beautiful composition with the right angles, lighting, depth, or colors. Good abstract photographs evoke dreamlike images, surreal paintings, and absurdity. Get creative on all fronts and push your own boundaries. Make decisions that seem backwards. Capture something you normally wouldn't think twice about. As long as you end up with a well-composed photo, you did it right!
